Atlanta Engagement | Georgia & Charles

There are days that stand out not just for the pretty photos captured but for the genuine connections formed.

Georgia & Charles found their way to us through Georgia’s sister, Madison. A few years ago, back in 2020, I shot a wedding of one of my high school best friends (still a favorite wedding to this day), and Madison was a bridesmaid in that wedding! Madison sent her in our direction - so I was immediately excited when Georgia reached out to us - it is the biggest compliment when any wedding guest or bridal party member hires/refers us.

I hopped on a plane and landed in Atlanta, where Georgia and Charles picked me up from their airport. Our day was refreshingly laid-back, filled with coffee pit stops, brunch at their favorite local spot, and a laid-back wander through parks. Electric scooters added a dash of adventure, and we had a Trader Joe's run to pick up the necessities - their chili and lime tortilla chips.

What stood out most was the sheer joy and ease with which Georgia and Charles embraced each other's company. When we planned this session - their vision was clear. The engagement session wasn't just about capturing picture-perfect moments; they just wanted photos that made them remember this time in their lives.

I left this session so creatively inspired by these two and the easy friendship they extended to me. When a session feels just like time spent with friends, that’s when I know we made some magic. I am so grateful this was just part 1 of our shoots together, and that I’ll get to spend a weekend with them next fall, celebrating their marriage!
